What about your future at Hajoca makes you excited to come to work each day?

Hajoca provides it’s leaders the opportunity to impact people’s lives both in our business and in the markets we participate in, as the Leader(People x Customer)=Results model exhibits this very statement.

Every individual (from Warehouse teammate, to PCM) has the opportunity to exhibit business ownership in each of their perspective roles. I believe that this creates a sense of pride for each teammate.

Hajoca allows leaders to make decisions on their business as if it is their own. The decentralized model allows for and encourages each Profit Center to chase success and opportunities even if they are not traditional. This allows for outside the box thinking and creativity, which always makes for an exciting and interesting day at the Profit Center!

What’s something about Hajoca that you didn’t understand until you experienced it?

Prior to working at Hajoca, I didn’t realize how much autonomy and trust each PCM is given to run the business day to day. Seeing how each location operates like its own business while still having the support and resources of a larger organization was eye-opening. It became clear how much ownership everyone in the business truly has. That really sets Hajoca apart and becomes clear only once you’re part of it.

What kind of future does Hajoca offer that you don’t see elsewhere?

Hajoca offers me a future of unlimited earning potential, without an upfront buy-in. This is the only opportunity out there that I know off. The best part is freedom. I get to build my team and business the way I want.

People who thrive at Hajoca are relationship focused and desire a culture built on trust, respect, and genuine care for one another and our customers. They communicate, collaborate, and solve problems together. Their compassion shows in how they support teammates and customers, always willing to step in wherever needed to benefit the PC. This shared commitment to people and culture is what makes Hajoca a place where teammates and customers feel valued and supported.

What surprised you most about Hajoca after starting the program?

The most surprising thing to me was how aligned everyone was in the business. The goal is to provide a level of customer service that can’t be duplicated, and I was impressed by how committed the team was to reach that goal. It was awesome to see such driven and talented teammates working together.

How have your managers or teammates supported your development?

During my time in the program, I was fortunate to work alongside managers and teammates who made a deliberate investment in my development. Their commitment to my development was shown through consistent 1 on 1 conversations, inclusion in key projects, and the trust they placed in me to operate with freedom in my roles. Equally important, they were always available for guidance and support whenever needed.

How would you describe the impact Hajoca has had on your career trajectory?

Hajoca has enabled me to sharpen my sales skills, invest in genuine relationships, and learn all things plumbing wholesale – all while affording me the opportunity to change lives and have a positive impact on those around me. Through the culture, the continuous development, and the relationships created along the way, it is no secret that Hajoca is committed to creating career-long teammates. They have certainly made one out of me, and I couldn’t be more excited for a long and meaningful career with Hajoca.

How has Hajoca helped shape who you are professionally—and personally?

Hajoca has played a big role in shaping who I am both professionally and personally, especially when it comes to building strong relationships. Working closely with customers, vendors, and teammates has shown me how important trust and clear communication really are. Professionally, Hajoca has helped strengthen my problem solving and time management skills, while personally it has helped me become more confident connecting with people from different backgrounds. Overall, Hajoca has taught me that strong relationships make the work more meaningful and lead to better results.
